President George W Bush has changed America spiritually more than any other President in our lifetimes. He has moved this Country from a Christian bashing secular PC haven, into a Country that prayer and the name of Jesus is no longer the same fable as the Easter Bunny. God has entered the public square from one simple answer to a complex question. When President Bush was asked who his favorite philosopher was, he answered, "Jesus Christ because he changed my life," he was laughed at as a moron. The Country has been transformed from laughing at that answer, to politicians climbing over each other to declare themselves Holy, too.

President Bush has a very real and personal relationship with his Lord and Savior. We have not seen this deep a belief in God from a politician. Reagan and Bush Sr both had a personal relationship but they were not able to bring that relationship into the public square. Their generation and most politicians fear what people may say if they were to utter something that has a spiritual answer. GW doesn’t mind since he knows that if not for the Grace of God he would not have a family, let alone be President. That is why he continues to lift Jesus up in thanksgiving. The funny thing is, that Americans like to hear about his faith and he reaffirms their own faith and belief in God and prayer.

After 9/11 the Country had to find itself and GW stepped to the mound. He knew that he was called on like Moses to lead this Country and it’s people out of the darkness. He also knew that the only way that this Country could make it out of the night was to fall on her knees and find comfort in the Father. He was the right man at the right time, Praise God! He gave his most inspirational and moving speeches of his Presidency during these months as he called on God and prayer to heal our wounds. He knew he was the only one who could bring God into the public arena and let God’s healing touch move across this Land to heal it. He knew by personal experience that a prideful man has to be knocked off his pedestal to find his knees to get closer to The Father. Only a prodigal son like W would fully understand this.

The churches are not quite as full as they were after 9/11, but they are better attended than they were before George Bush. This Country is being healed and being changed by President Bush’ relationship with the Lord. Christians have shown their strength in the last election and we are glad to have a Born Again President. The Lord’s name is being lifted up in places it was never lifted up before. Values are being discussed while immorality is being questioned. The Country is rediscovering that the Bible is the moral compass we should all follow. Time after time we are witnessing the hunger and love that people have for upright moral leaders.

Of all the great accomplishments that President Bush has made, his relationship with Jesus Christ is his greatest. He has followed God to transform this Country in innumerable ways. To watch the news before GW to now you would have to think these are two different Lands. Before it was how many ways you could cleverly lie or distort while now it is about truth and morality. The news invites men of God to ask opinions about today’s World events when before it was spinners. The public discussion is about moral issues rather than political across the board. Politicians are finding out that people do like talking about spiritual and moral issues far more than they suspected. Only one politician suspected that and had the Moral Fibre to find out.

Pope John Paul II was a Great Pope and changed the World in his firm commitment to Life. He however did not have as much an influence in a spiritual way as President George W Bush. W is leaving a footprint on the World that is impossible to measure. He has changed the entire World through the power of prayer. He has been the servant leader that Jesus called him to be. He has humility and truth that connects with so many. He is only a sinner following Jesus in the best way he can, which ruffles a lot of political feathers. He reaches out to his enemies time and time again only to have to turn the other cheek once more. That is one way he has changed the World and shown that World what the face of Jesus truly is. This is on his way to becoming George the Great.
